Fires at two vacant Zents Avenue homes

YOUNGSTOWN — Firefighters responded to fires at two vacant Zents Avenue homes between 5:45 p.m. and 6 p.m. Thursday.

At 16 Zents Ave., there was a fire on an enclosed front porch that caused about $1,000.

At 20 Zents Ave., a home valued at $2,000 was a total loss as firefighters said there was a strong odor of flammable material.

No one was injured in either blaze.
