Electrical problem causes North Side house fire
YOUNGSTOWN — Fire reports say an electrical problem was responsible for a fire that caused $1,000 damage to a North Side home about 9:15 p.m. Thursday.
Crews called to the 481 Francisca Ave. home found a small fire near the electrical meter and put it out with a fire extinguisher, reports said. Reports said perhaps a short circuit caused wires near the meter to ignite.
Ohio Edison cut electrical service to the home and the Red Cross was called to assist the family of five that lives there find a place to stay, reports said.
