Sixth-grade class tops in donations

Michael Richards’ sixth-grade class at Canfield Village Middle School had a lot to celebrate, and to be proud of, May 10. The class raised the most money in the school for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and the American Diabetes Association and was rewarded with a lunch-time pizza party.
According to Richards, the student collectively raised $454.
“The class was very generous with their donations,” said Richards.
In addition to the pizza, students brought in other treats to celebrate their accomplishment. The Cornersburg and Austintown Dairy Queen also provided ice cream treats for the students.
