Fisherman drowns in lake near Akron

AKRON, Ohio (AP) — A 53-year-old man has drowned after falling overboard from a boat on a fishing lake near Akron.

The Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office said the man went into the water at the Nimisila Reservoir on Wednesday. Divers recovered his body late Wednesday night after searching for several hours.

Witnesses reported seeing the man go overboard off the small fishing boat while he was trying to fix some equipment. His name hasn’t been released.
