Parmalee recently scored its second-consecutive top-ranked single on Sirius XM’s “The Highway Hot 30 Live Countdown” with “Carolina.”

The song follows he band’s debut single, “Musta Had A Good Time,” which held onto the top spot for four-consecutive weeks last summer.

Parmalee is finding itself opening for some of country music’s biggest names, including Willie Nelson and Keith Urban, as well as playing at several top festivals.

The North Carolina band consists of brothers Matt and Scott Thomas, their cousin Barry Knox and longtime friend Josh McSwain.

The Thomas brothers learned to play music from their father, who fronted a southern-rock and blues band in their hometown.

They eventually joined their father’s band before branching out with their own sound with the current lineup.

Parmelee — the name derives from their tiny hometown of Parmele, N.C. — would go on to tour the country, and repeatedly were urged to take their act to Nashville. It’s advice that the band would follow.

At 17 years old, Farley is a rising act who opened for Jason Aldean’s tour with Luke Bryan. She also can be heard on Brantley Gilbert’s latest single, “Kick It in The Sticks.”

Farley soon will release her debut album on Broken Bow Records.
