Breakfast Botany

Description: Start your morning with a brisk walk to see plants growing in the gardens. Return to the Garden Cafe to enjoy a light breakfast and hear interesting facts about trees.

Gardening Basics

June 11: Herb Gardening 101, 6:30-8 p.m. Pam Baytos will share garden maintenance, harvesting, drying techniques and preserving for the beginning herb gardener. Participants will take home five herb plants to start their own herb garden either in a container or for in their garden.

Fee: $32; FFRG member, $25.

What’s the Buzzzz?

Tuesday: 1-2 p.m.

June 15: 11 a.m.-noon. Children’s classes both days. Children age 3-5 can come to the gardens to find out that the buzz is all about bumble bees. We will create a happy bumble bee to bring fun and whimsy to our home gardens. We will also enjoy a walk in the family garden (weather permitting) and a snack.

Fee: $8; FFRG member, $6.

ON THE TERRACE

Wednesday: 5-7 p.m.

Where: The Garden Terrace at Fellows Riverside Gardens with the beautiful view of Lake Glacier is the place to relax and unwind after work as you enjoy a glass or two of wine and listen to the music of Rachel Roberts. The cafe will be open for visitors wishing to purchase food.

POLAND FARMERS MARKET

Starts June 14: Fridays from 6-8 p.m.

New location: State Route 170 in center of Poland Village on Town Hall lawn.
