The Home Savings Charitable Foundation has donated $10,000 to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Mahoning Valley, a local nonprofit organization in Girard.
The mission of Big Brothers and Big Sisters is to make a positive difference in the lives of children, primarily through a professionally supported one-to-one mentoring relationship with a volunteer.
“We have a vision here to continue increasing the resources, developing the environment, and improving the mechanisms to provide caring volunteers in the life of every child who benefit from our services,” said Brian Higgins, executive director. “Our work is as essential as putting hope into a child’s future.”
“We’re very proud to support Big Brothers Big Sisters,” said Pamela Berry, director of the Home Savings Charitable Foundation. “There are so many children that benefit from their services within our communities.”
