Vindy speller makes it through 1st round of national spelling bee


WASHINGTON —Max Lee, winner of The Vindicator 2013 Regional Spelling Bee, made it through the first round of competition today at the Scripps National Spelling Bee.

Max, an eighth-grader at Canfield Village Middle School, correctly spelled “rottweiler” to advance to the third round, which begins this afternoon.
