FOOD SALES AND DINNERS

FRIDAY

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at 330-792-1005.

Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church Hall, 526 W. Rayen Ave., Youngstown, will sell potato and potato with kraut pirogi for $6 a dozen. Orders should be placed from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday or 9:30 to 11 Friday at 330-746-9528 and are to be picked up between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Friday. Hot lunches will be available at 11 a.m.

St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, 4310 Kirk Road, Austintown, will sell potato and cheese pirogi. To order call 330-799-0084 from 8:30 a.m. to noon Thursday and from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. Cost is $6 per dozen. Pickup will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday; no containers are necessary. Walk-ins are welcome. Patrons are asked to use the side entrance. This is the last sale of the season.

St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., Youngstown, will sell potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi. The cost is $5.50 a dozen. Advance orders will be taken at 330-747-3024 from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday and 8 to 11 Friday, based upon availability. Pickup will be from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. Walk-in orders are welcome. Pirogi lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday.

SUNDAY

VFW Post 2799 will serve a homestyle breakfast sponsored by the ladies auxiliary from 8 a.m. to noon. Prices are $5 for adults and $3 for children under 12. On the menu are eggs, hash browns, sausage or ham, pancakes or freedom toast, toast and coffee or tea.

TAKING ORDERS

Mount Carmel Society of Niles is taking orders for pizza and calzones at 330-652-2811. Red pizzas cost $6 each, and calzones cost $10 each. Calzone varieties are potato, spinach or a combination of the two. The deadline to order is 7 p.m. June 2; pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 7 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish, 381 Robbins Ave., Niles, in the education center.

UPCOMING

Southington United Methodist Church, routes 305 and 534 in Southington, will sell chicken dinners from 3:30 to 6 p.m. June 5. The menu includes a quarter chicken, scalloped potatoes, green beans, applesauce, coleslaw and homemade desserts. Prices are $8 for adults, $4 for chicken tenders meals for children 4 through 10 and free for kids 3 and under. Carryouts will be available. Call the church at 330-898-2156 to have dinners ready for pickup.

St. Mary’s Assumption Social Center, 356 S. Belle Vista Ave., Youngstown, will sell beef tips and noodles dinners to go from 3 p.m. until sold out June 6. There is no need to get out of your car nor to preorder. Dinners will cost $8. The meals include green beans, a roll and a piece of cake.

Veterans of Foreign Wars Triangle Post 2799, 3161 E. South Range Road, New Springfield, will serve spaghetti dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. June 13. Prices are $6 for adults, $3 for children under 12 and $6.25 for carryout. Call 330-542-9928. The meals include meatballs, salad, Italian bread and coffee or tea.
