Youngstown police cite 3 bartenders for underage sales

YOUNGSTOWN

Police cited three people at three different bars over the weekend for selling alcohol to underage people.

Police sent an underage informant who purchased a beer, and after the purchase was made the bartender was cited.

Those cited early Sunday morning and the places they worked are Ricky Harris, 24, of Strader Road in East Liverpool, who was working at the Lemon Grove, 110 W. Federal St.; George Mirich Jr., 36, of Poland, who was working at O’Donolds, 122 W. Federal St.; and late Saturday, Essence Murphy, 28, of West Washington Street in New Castle, Pa., who was working at the Academy Club, 221 Belmont Ave.

All three were issued a summons to appear in municipal court Tuesday. Harris has a pretrial hearing set for July 5 and Mirich for July 9. Murphy failed to appear, and a warrant was issued for her arrest.
