Streetscape set for June 1

YOUNGSTOWN

Streetscape 2013, called “Grow the YO!” will be from 8 a.m. to noon next Saturday.

Volunteers will beautify the downtown landscape by removing debris, trimming, planting flowers and shrubs and mulching planted areas during the 16th annual event.

Focus areas include the West Federal Street median, John Young Memorial, the Front Street/South Avenue corner, city hall, and Wick Park.

In the event of inclement weather, the event will take place from 8 a.m. to noon June 2.

About 500 volunteers are expected.
