Nevaeh Clark heads to NAM pageant

Nevaeh Clark, 7, daughter of Alicia McKinney of Canfield, has been chosen a state finalist in a National American Miss pageant representing her age group.

The pageant will take place June 28 and 29 at the Hyatt Regency in Columbus.

NAM pageants, which encourage girls to be future leaders, bestow scholarships and prizes. They teach girls self-confidence, good attitudes about competition and how to set and achieve personal goals.

Nevaeh’s activities include cheerleading, track and field, singing in a choir, reading and caring for her dogs.
