A Front Street Southwest man accused of the Sunday morning slaying of a Dickey Avenue Northwest man was indicted by a Trumbull County Common Pleas Court grand jury Thursday on charges of murder and felonious assault.

Assistant county Prosecutor Chris Becker said Jarred Watson, 28, is expected to be arraigned in front of Judge W. Wyatt McKay at 10 a.m. today in the death of 57-year-old George L. Myers of 148 Dickey Ave. NW. Myers was found dead in his backyard about 4 a.m. Sunday with wounds suffered in a beating, police said.

Police said Watson was the ex-boyfriend of Myers’ daughter. Myers’ death is the fourth homicide of the year in Warren. In 2012, Warren recorded five homicides.
