Neighbors | Submitted .Chris Carson has been awarded three world records and two state records for his lifting.

Thirty-one-year-old Chris Carson, a power lifter from Boardman, received first place at a meet in Toledo May 11 by dead lifting 644.7 pounds.

Carson received the Ohio State Chairman award. He has won countless awards including: a world record for a 705 bench, a first place win with a 675 bench in Las Vegas, a first place with a 730 bench and 600 raw dead lift in Canton, first place with a 733 bench and first place with a 628 raw dead lift in Texas, bringing a belt home to Boardman. Carson also took first place in Pittsburgh, benching 775, and second place with a 635 raw dead lift. He was awarded best overall lifter.

Carson holds two records at the monster meet as the highest bencher at 775 pounds and did 224 pounds for 58 reps. He has been awarded three world records and two state records.

Carson will next compete on June 15 in Columbus.
