Thursday: The Warren JFK graduate shot 4-under par 66 in the first round of the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial. Kokrak had six birdies, including five on the back nine. He is four shots behind leader Ryan Palmer, whose first-round 62 included eight birdies.

Next: Kokrak tees off today at 1:39 p.m.. His playing partners are Tom Lehman and Greg Chalmers. They’ll start on No. 10.
