What: Annuals, 10-inch hanging baskets, oval planters, foliage plants.

Where: Meet at Mill Creek Preserve off Western Reserve Road.

Details: Will determine which species reside in the 300-acre Mill Creek Preserve. Limited parking, so call Ford Nature Center to register. Easy rating, 1.5 miles.

Saturday, 11 a.m. : Kids’ activities.

Where: Fellows Riverside Gardens.

Details: Kids ages 3 to 5 can celebrate sunflowers’ beauty by listening to a sunflower story, enjoying a sunflower snack and potting a sunflower seed to nurture and enjoy.
