Green out, Morales in as chief of UAW 1714

LORDSTOWN β€” The smaller of the two unions at the General Motors plant has a new president.

Robert Morales is taking charge of United Auto Workers 1714.

Morales, of Boardman, is a 18-year employee of General Motors, Youngstown native, and is second generation at the plant. His father was among the first group of workers at the plant in 1967.

β€œHe went straight to the plant after he got out of the military,” Morales said.
