Civil War battle re-enactment

Pete and Bridget Perri will be part of “The Road to Gettysburg,” a Civil War battle re-enactment, Saturday and Sunday at Pioneer Village, in Beaver Creek State Park, north of East Liverpool. Little Beaver Creek resembles banks of the Rappahannock River in Virginia where the battle of Banks Ford took place in May of 1863. It will be narrated aloud by a Civil War soldier as the action takes place.

Here is the schedule: Saturday, battle at 2 p.m.; encampments 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; civil war ball at 7 p.m.; night fire at 9 p.m. Sunday, pancake breakfast, 7:30-9:30 a.m.; church service 10 a.m.; children’s drill and march 10:30 a.m.; battle at 1 p.m.
