Big Chuck & Little John at museum

Staff report

Warren

“Big Chuck & Little John Live!” will come to the National Packard Museum on June 15 for a 7 p.m. show.

The two men are famous in Northeast Ohio as the comical hosts of a horror and sci-fi B-movie seried on a Cleveland television channel.

The show is a fundraiser for the museum, which will open at 6 p.m. with special exhibits and merchandise available for sale in the lobby. An old-fashioned theater concession stand serving popcorn, pop and candy will be set up.

Big Chuck & Little John will take the stage in the Great Hall Gallery at 7 p.m. and introduce the evening’s featured film, “Plan 9 From Outer Space,” the 1959 flick from cult director Ed Wood that is regarded as one of the worst movies ever made.

The movie presentation will include several “commercial breaks” when Big Chuck & Little John will perform live comedy skits and show vintage film clips from their late-night series.

During intermission, the two will sign books and autographs.

The evening also will include a pizza-eating contest sponsored by Sunrise Inn.

Tickets are $20 and $25 and are limited to 300. Call 330-394-1899, or go to packardmuseum.org.

Cameras and flash photography will be permitted.

The National Packard Museum, 1899 Mahoning Ave., is open from noon to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday.

Admission is $8 ($5 for seniors and children age 7 to 12)
