Christman, Wilson tie for second place

Cole Christman of Canfield and Jared Wilson of Columbiana both shot a 1-over-par 73 in the boys 12-under category of the Golf Week Junior Tour event this weekend at Avalon Lakes Golf Course.

Christman and Wilson finished second, three strokes behind winner Ben Smith of Novi, Mich.

Brian Terlesky of Youngstown shot a 2-over-par 74 to finish fourth.

Jenna Vivo of Youngstown finished third in the girls 13-14 category. Vivo shot a 6-over 78, four strokes behind winner Maddy McDaniel of Aliquippa, Pa.

Kaylee Neumeister of Cortland was sixth with an 81 and Kaci Carpenter of Canfield was 10th with a 91.

In the girls 15-19 category, Jacinta Pikunas of Youngstown tied for fifth place with Kasey Nielsen of Kent. Both shot 6-over 78s, six strokes behind winner Sarah Thompson of Canton, Mich.

Christina Cooper of Canfield was 19th with an 80. Also competing were Rachel Williamson of Austintown (95) and Angelica Maggio of Warren (102).
