The Youngstown Club provided the setting for the 6:30 p.m., July 5, 2012, wedding of Candice Marie Davis and Benjamin Allen Phelps. The Revs. Shari Caruso and Michael Adams officiated.

The couple were honored at a reception, also at the Youngstown Club.

The bride is the daughter of Frank and Nina Davis of Girard. Parents of the groom are Rod and Tricia Phelps of Franklin, Va.

The bride wore a white strapless gown with a sweetheart neckline and a full skirt.

Wearing royal blue gowns were Amanda Davis, the bride’s twin sister and maid of honor, and Christina Piccoli, the bride’s sister and matron of honor.

The groom’s father served as best man, and Ethan Phelps, the groom’s son, performed the duties of best boy.

The bride earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Ohio State University and a master’s degree in school counseling from Youngstown State University. She is a school counselor for Isle of Wight County Schools in Smithfield, Va.

The groom received a bachelor’s degree in history and education from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. He is a teacher for Isle of Wight County Schools in Windsor, Va.

After a wedding trip to Belize, the couple reside in Smithfield.
