Riverfest planned at B&O Station

YOUNGSTOWN

Friends of the Mahoning River will have its second annual Mahoning Riverfest from noon to 4 p.m. June 8 at the B&O Station, 530 Mahoning Ave.

The event, sponsored by V&M, will begin with a dock ribbon-cutting ceremony and will include educational and historical presentations and displays with a focus on the river and the environment.

Kayak and canoe rides will be available.
