Fred and Kathy Battisti of Liberty are announcing the engagement of their son, Fred Battisti Jr., and Peggy Scott, both of Atlanta.

Jeff and Jo Ann Scott of Houston are the parents of the bride-elect. The late Lynda Kilmer is her mother.

Old Thompson Barn at River Valley Ranch, Carbondale, Colo., will be the setting of the 6 p.m. wedding Aug. 10, and a reception there will follow. Invitations will be issued for both.

The future bride earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Ohio State University. She is a sales representative for AG Jeans in Atlanta.

Her fianc earned a bachelor’s degree in consumer affairs at OSU. He is a leasing agent for DLC Management Corp., Atlanta.
