Division I sectionals

Ashtabula Lakeside 12, East 0

ASHTABULA

The Dragons scored all the runs they’d need in the bottom of the first inning in a sectional semifinal victory over the Panthers (1-15). Tuttle pitched a one-hitter over five innings for Lakeside, which will visit Fitch at 4 p.m. in a sectional final. Caleb Garcia had a triple for the Dragons.

Division III sectionals

Springfield 10, Heartland Christian 0

NEW MIDDLETOWN

Hunter Snyder and James Hillyer each had two hits and two RBIs for Springfield (16-7), which scored nine runs in the second inning to pull away. Dalton Donachie pitched a two-hitter with eight strikeouts and no walks to get the win.

Division IV sectionals

Jackson-Milton 12, Warren JFK 7

WARREN

A six-run fifth inning helped the Bluejays win their first sectional championship in 10 years. Tyler Totani had four hits and four RBIs for Jackson-Milton (17-10). Nate Clark doubled twice, singled and also drove in four runs. Matt Jones, Chuckie Anderson, Jeremy Fitzpatrick and winning pitcher Nick Woloschak each had two hits for the Bluejays, and Woloschak drove in two runs. Dominic Naples had four hits for Warren JFK. The Eagles got two hits each from John Hilty, Chandler Diles and Luke Keck. Hilty and Keck each had two RBIs.

Regular season

West Branch 14, Mnerva 8

MINERVA

Brenden Wells tied a state record with a 6-for-6 day at the plate for West Branch. He added four stolen bases to give him 102 steals in his career. Jake Smith added three hits. The Warriors collected 21 hits and led 5-0 after two innings before the Lions scored six times in the third.

Niles 1, Jefferson 0

JEFFERSON

Tyler Wiery drove in Justin Lopes in the third inning with the only run of the game for Niles. Jefferson was held to two hits.

Austintown Fitch 11, Cardinal Mooney 10

AUSTINTOWN

The Falcons trailed 10-8 going into the bottom of the seventh inning, but scored three runs to win a regular-season game. Zarek Bell, Shane Vitullo and Zack Miller each had two hits for Fitch, which will host Ashtabula Lakeside at 4 p.m. today in Division I sectional final. Bell had a double, triple and drove in four runs. Miller had a double and finished with three RBIs and Vitullo scored four runs. Jon Saadey and Drew Beck each had two hits for Cardinal Mooney.
