Rich Center for Autism gets $2,500

YOUNGSTOWN

Board members from Ronald McDonald House Charities of Mahoning Valley and Western Pennsylvania will deliver a grant check to the Rich Center for Autism at Youngstown State University at 11 a.m. today.

The center will receive $2,500 to offset costs specifically devoted to the its Early Intensive Behavioral Intervention program, which has been designed for their youngest children.

This program is associated with the center’s Applied Behavioral Analysis program for children diagnosed with autism. Services provided in the program include full-day school programming, specialized literacy programs, applied behavioral analysis based instruction, adaptive physical education, and speech, occupational and physical therapies.

The mission of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Mahoning Valley and Western Pennsylvania is to create, find and support programs that directly improve the health and well-being of youths in our own communities.
