Man, wife shot in domestic incident

NEW CASTLE, Pa. — A 50-year-old man is dead and his 50-year-old wife is still in the hospital following a domestic dispute late Sunday evening in Mahoning Township.

Joseph Lupo was shot in the head at about 11:15 p.m. and Caroline Lupo was shot in the abdomen. Joseph died a short time later at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown, where Caroline is recovering from surgery. The hospital had no details about her condition.

Pennsylvania State Police said the investigation is ongoing.
