Mini collectibles available at show


The 2013 Greater Cleveland Miniature Show, sponsored by the Miniature Cellar of Chesterland, will be Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Willoughby Hills Community Center, 35400 Chardon Road (Route 6). Admission is $5 ($2 for children).

The event features dozens of miniature dealers and craftspeople from several states selling their tiny wares. It will feature a wide variety of dollhouse miniatures, from museum-quality collectibles to commercial pieces, as well as supplies for do-it-yourselfers. Go to

Auditions are set for new LGBT play


YOUnify Theatre Company will have auditions for its first original piece, “Closet Space,” at 7 p.m. Sunday at the Oakland Center for the Arts, 220 W. Boardman St., downtown. Directed by Kristopher Ray North, the play incorporates the experiences, thoughts and expressions of the Valley’s LGBT and allied youths. The script, written by lead writer David Palmer and program facilitator Kris Harrington, delves into he lives of LGBT and allied teens and youths and presents their struggles and progress. Auditionees will read from the script. Performances will be in late spring and summer at various locations. Contact North at
