Historical society sets annual dinner

MERCER, PA.

The Mercer County Historical Society annual dinner will take place at 5:30 p.m. Thursday in the library of the MCHS, 119 S. Pitt St.

After a tour those attending will proceed to the social hall of the Helen Black Miller Memorial Chapel, where a stuffed chicken dinner will be served. The program will be on the Battle of Gettysburg by the Western Pennsylvania Civil War Reenactors Society.

A brief business meeting will begin after the dinner, and the evening will conclude with a roll call of ancestors by name, rank and units.

The cost of the event is $12 per person. Tickets are available at the MCHS Headquarters or by mailing a self-addressed stamped envelope to 119 S. Pitt St., Mercer, PA 16137.
