Fundraiser to increase awareness of need

YOUNGSTOWN

Organizers of the Yellow Brick Place, a newly formed nonprofit organization to raise funds and awareness for the future Cancer Wellness Center in the Mahoning Valley, is sponsoring a show, “Celebrate!,” at 7:30 p.m. April 27 at the Youngstown Playhouse, 600 Playhouse Lane.

The event will be hosted by Anna Aey and Donna Detwiler.

Director and emcee, Liz Rubino, a native of the Mahoning Valley and a New York-based theater and coaching professional, is coordinating the event.

The evening will feature local youth performers, including Ballet Western Reserve; Billie Anzevino, hip-hop; Colleen Chance, Jones Dance Academy; Liz Rubino Studios; The Performing Arts Center; The Youngstown Connection; and Tribe of EOS, belly dance with additional performances by Anzevino, Chance, Joshua William Green and Nikita Jones.
