Fire damages stage at Sharon center

SHARON, Pa.

Sharon and Farrell fire departments extinguished a fire in the joists under the stage at the Walnut Lodge Yoga and Movement Center at 80 South Irvine Avenue Saturday afternoon.

No one was in the building at the time, and there were no injuries. Firefighters don’t have a loss estimate, but said the stage was damaged, causing smoke damage.

The fire appeared to have started as a result of faulty wiring, though no official cause has been determined, said Capt. Matthew Grove.

The fire, reported at 4:07 p.m., was contained in about 20 minutes, Grove said.
