Book tells the story of ocean liner

There will be a nonfiction-book discussion group at 6 p.m. April 15 at the Leetonia Community Public Library, 181 Walnut St.
The book is titled “A Man and His Ship: America’s Greatest Naval Architect and His Quest to Build the S.S. United States” by Steven Ujifusa. Discussion will be about the fascinating story of building the S.S. United States ocean liner.
Completed in 1952, this ship was designed by William Francis Gibbs and was considered to be a technological masterpiece.
An architect rivaling Frank Lloyd Wright and John Roebling, Gibbs spent 40 years refining plans for this dream luxury liner.
Copies of the book are available at the library. Guests are welcome to attend.
