Make-up kindergarten registration will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. April 11 at Brookfield Elementary School, 614 Bedford Road SE, for students entering the Brookfield School District. Children must be age 5 by Aug. 1 to register.

Requirements to enroll a child include an official birth certificate, with a raised seal; Social Security card, Ohio driver’s license of state ID of the parent or legal guardian, proof of custody if applicable, current immunization records and two proofs of residency.

Registration for children entering the Newton Falls School District for the 2013-14 school year took place in February and the beginning of March. Those who haven’t registered a child for next year’s kindergarten must do so immediately as there is a mandated screening time at the end of April.

Appointments aren’t necessary, but people should only come to Newton Falls Elementary School from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. or from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. It is not necessary to bring the child. To qualify for kindergarten, children must be age 5 by Aug. 1.

The following is required to register: child’s legal birth certificate, immunization records, proof of residency, child’s Social Security number and custody papers, if applicable.
