Man attacked with knife on Summit St.

WARREN

A 37-year-old Elm Road Northeast man said a man cut him in the chest and head with a knife at 9:50 p.m. Wednesday on Summit Street Northwest.

The man said he was walking on the sidewalk just west of the Mahoning River when a car stopped and two men got out.

A white male yelled at him and attacked him with the knife, the victim said.

The victim called a friend, who took him to St. Joseph Health Center, where a doctor called the chest wounds “superficial.” The head wound was deep and required several stitches, police said.
