Teen charged in killings of Ohio father, daughter

CELINA, Ohio (AP) — A teen who’s serving time in an Indiana prison is now charged in the 2011 slayings of a disabled man and his daughter at their farmhouse in western Ohio.

Authorities announced today they’d made an arrest in the killings that shook several rural communities in west-central Ohio near the Indiana state line.

The Mercer County Sheriff’s Office says 18-year-old Trevin Sanders has been charged with aggravated murdered. Sanders is from Union City, a town that straddles Indiana and Ohio.

He’s been in prison in Indiana since last fall on unrelated charges.

Authorities found the bodies of 70-year-old Robert Grube and his 47-year-old daughter Colleen Grube after an apparent robbery of their Fort Recovery farmhouse in November 2011. Both had been bound with duct tape and shot.
