Ryan meets with German chancellor

WASHINGTON

U.S. Rep. Tim Ryan of Niles, D-13th, met with German Chancellor Angela Merkel on Wednesday as part of a series of meetings led by Ryan as part of the 30th Annual Congress-Bundestag Seminar of the Congressional Study Group on Germany.

The group also met with members of the German Bundestag and German businesses.

Ryan will host a German delegation to Ohio in 2014.

PNC will replace chairman/CEO Rohr

PNC Financial Services Group President William Demchak will replace chairman and CEO James Rohr, who is set to step down in April after nearly 13 years as head of southwestern Pennsylvania’s largest bank.

The 64-year-old Rohr will leave at the annual shareholders meeting April 23, but he will remain executive chairman for a year while the bank transitions to Demchak’s leadership.
