BREAKING NEWS | Ohio Racing Commission delays work on Austintown racino

COLUMBUS — Construction on a planned Austintown racino and its projected opening date have been delayed after state racing officials declined to OK a relocation permit today and instead asked Penn National Gaming to add 650 indoor seats to the facility.

Steve Snyder, senior vice president of corporate development, said there is no room for additional seating for the building as proposed, and the company will have to start over on plans for the Hollywood Mahoning Valley Race Course.

The redesign process will take four to six months or more.
