Winning entry? Piece of cake!

SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR Second-grader Alex LaPlante shows his Minecraft cake that recently won top honors at Holy Family School’s cake walk during Catholic Schools Week. Alex is the son of John and Laurie LaPlante of Poland. Students and staff vote for their favorite cake and the top three cakes are recognized with prizes. During Family Fun Night, visitors and students play musical chairs to see who wins the cake of their choice until all the cakes are gone. This is the ninth year the school has sponsored the cake walk.
