SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR P.R.E.P. Learning Center of Youngstown recently sponsored a book giveaway at Jackson Milton Elementary School through its literacy program, Read & Succeed. The program was prompted by Kelly McCorkle, a sophomore at Jackson Milton High School, who volunteered 10 hours to raise funds for the center at the elementary school because of her enjoyment of reading. McCorkle raised $90 for the center, a nonprofit organization that offers a variety of free programs such as one-on-one tutoring, after- school homework assistance, literacy and STEM programs.
