11-year-old charged in Canfield Middle School bomb threat

CANFIELD

A fifth-grader has been charged in the bomb threat that caused Canfield Village Middle School to be evacuated on March 20.

The 11-year-old female was identified by school administration and members of the Canfield Police Department as part of an investigation into a note that was left in the school.

The juvenile, who was not identified by name by police, was referred to the Mahoning County Juvenile Court on Friday on a misdemeanor charge of making false alarms.
