“The Voice” (8 p.m., NBC): Two new judges — Usher and Shakira — will be in those spinning seats as “The Voice” returns for a fourth season. That’s OK with us, but can they help this show finally find a singer who can make an impact on the pop charts?

“Revolution” (10:01 p.m., NBC): The rollicking blackout drama “Revolution” returns from a four-month break with some high-voltage action. We pick up right where we left off, with Miles (Billy Burke) and the rebels trying to fight off Monroe’s (David Lyons) military choppers and machine guns.

“180 DAYS: A YEAR INSIDE AN AMERICAN HIGH SCHOOL” (10 P.M., PBS): “180 Days” is a riveting two-part documentary that delves into the lives of students at an inner-city Washington, D.C., campus, where the faculty faces extraordinary challenges and pressures.

“Parental Guidance”: Comedy legends Billy Crystal and Bette Midler play Artie and Diane Decker, who are called in by their daughter (Marisa Tomei) to help care for their three grandkids.

“The Collection”: When Elena’s (Emma Fitzpatrick) friends take her to a secret party at an undisclosed location, she never imagined she would become the latest victim of The Collector, a psychopathic killer.

“Killing Them Softly”: The story centers on Jackie Cogan, a professional enforcer who investigates a heist that takes place during a high-stakes poker game under protection of the mob. Starring Brad Pitt and Sam Rockwell.

“A Royal Affair”: A tale of illicit passion based on the true story of Caroline Mathilda, the English princess who married King Christian VII of Denmark in the early 1770s.

“This Is 40” (released Friday): Writer/director/producer Judd Apatow expands upon the story of Pete and Debbie from “Knocked Up.” Starring Paul Rudd, Leslie Mann, Megan Fox and Albert Brooks. “Les Miserables” (released Friday): A story of broken dreams and unrequited love, passion, sacrifice and redemption, set amid 19th-century Paris. Starring Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe, Anne Hathaway and Amanda Seyfried.
