Patrol identifies driver killed in Ellsworth crash

ELLSWORTH

The driver killed in a two-vehicle crash Monday on U.S. Route 224 was identified by the Ohio State Highway Patrol as Ryan Basora, 26, of Cuyahoga Falls.

He was pronounced dead at St. Elizabeth’s Health Center in Youngstown after he lost control of his vehicle and struck another vehicle head on.

Basora was driving a 2003 Toyota Corolla west on Route 224 just west of Duck Creek Road at about 8 a.m. when he hit the 2009 Chevrolet truck driven by Thomas Mcloy, 55, of Cambridge, according to the patrol’s Canfield Post.

Both drivers were transported to the hospital, but Mcloy’s condition was not available on Monday. The crash is still under investigation.
