Joseph A. Barrickman II, 20, of Woodside Lane in Warren Township, was sentenced to six months in the Trumbull County jail, five years’ probation, community service and restitution for his role in a Niles vandalism spree at Niles McKinley High School.

He received his sentence last week from Judge Ronald Rice of Trumbull County Common Pleas Court.

Police said Barrickman and Michael Butler, 20, of Robbins Avenue, Niles, used a tractor to smash several construction trailers at 616 Dragon Drive, then damaged a vacant home at 134 Woodland Ave., a football scoreboard, a chain-link fence and a swimming pool in March 2012.

Barrickman received a similar sentence last month. Both men must pay restitution and complete a substance-abuse program at Northeast Ohio Community Alternative Program on Pine Avenue.

Barrickman must pay $10 per month until it is paid.

Court officials said the damage included $3,500 at the school plus an undetermined amount to other victims.
