Austintown Fitch to raise funds for health

AUSTINTOWN

The Florida-based nonprofit To Write Love on Her Arms is planning an event at 10 a.m. April 5 at Austintown Fitch High School, 4560 Falcon Drive, to honor the school as one of The Storytellers Fall 2012 bracket winners.

The high school raised $3,353 for TWLOHA. The fall term raised nearly $33,000. The Storytellers raised more than $100,000 in 2012.

TWLOHA licensed mental health counselor, Aaron Moore, will be speaking, and music will be by Shane Henderson of Valencia/Promise of Redemption.

The Storytellers is a two-month campaign where a student organizer works with a faculty adviser to create awareness about mental-health issues, brings the TWLOHA message to their school, and fosters the community while raising funds.

The program has no cost to the student or school.

There are a variety of incentives for participating.
