Special services

At St. Charles Church

St. Charles Borromeo Church, 7345 Westview Drive, Boardman (the church faces Route 224) will conduct a series of services for Holy Week.

Monday: Taiz service at 7 p.m. includes candlelight, silence and Scripture.

Tuesday: Evensong at 7 p.m. includes music and an evening prayer celebrating the mystery of Christ.

Wednesday: Tenebrae service at 7 p.m. uses shadows to symbolize spiritual darkness.

Holy Thursday: Mass of the Lord’s Supper at 7 p.m. preceded by Seder meal at 5:30; call the church for reservations, 330-758-2325.

Good Friday: Liturgy of the Word at 3 and 7 p.m.

Saturday, March 30: Vigil of Easter at 7 p.m.

Easter Sunday, March 31: Masses at 7:30, 9 and 10:45 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
