Poland youth compete at Grade School state

Last weekend, the Covelli Centre hosted the best youth wrestlers from all over Ohio, as wrestlers sixth grade and under competed at an OAC Grade School State Championship.
Poland had three wrestlers qualify for the biggest grade school state meet in Ohio. Dominic Pagan qualified in Division II (7-8 year-olds) at 75 pounds; Jacob Blackburn qualified in Division IV (11-12), 95 pounds; and Austin Tusinac in Division IV, 140 pounds.
Tusinac lost a close first-round match, 5-1. He came back in the consolation bracket with a pin, then fell to the eventual third-placer, Donovan McCollister.
Pagan and Blackburn both lost their first two matches and were eliminated.
