OSHP trooper seize hydroponic marijuana on Ohio Turnpike
ELYRIA — A Pennsylvania man faces felony drug charges after Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers seized hydroponic marijuana, solid and oil marijuana hash worth about $38,000 during a traffic stop on the Ohio Turnpike.
Troopers stopped a 1999 Buick, with Pennsylvania registration, for a marked-lanes violation on the turnpike in Lorain County at 4:33 p.m. Wednesday. Criminal indicators were observed and a Patrol drug-sniffing canine alerted to the vehicle. A probable cause search revealed eight pounds of hydroponic marijuana, a pound of oil marijuana hash, and 140 grams of solid marijuana hash.
The driver, James M. Rabuck, 42, of Middletown, Pa., was placed in Lorain County Jail and charged with possession of liquid marijuana hash, a second-degree felony, possession of marijuana and solid marijuana hash and aggravated trafficking in drugs, all third-degree felonies.
