Ohio boy charged with bringing knives to school
BARBERTON, Ohio (AP) — Authorities in northeast Ohio say there was no imminent threat when a boy brought two knives to school in a backpack.
Police say the 15-year-old told officers and school administrators he planned to “take over” and “do harm” at the school at some point in the future.
He has been charged with bringing a weapon onto school property, inciting violence, aggravated riot and inducing panic.
Two other juveniles and an 18-year-old face criminal charges after the incident Tuesday at Barberton High School near Akron.
The Akron Beacon Journal reports police say the two other juveniles and the 18-year-old knew the boy had knives. They are charged with failure to report a crime, complicity to incite violence and aggravated riot.
