Mahoning County human resources director retires
YOUNGSTOWN — Rachel Livengood, Mahoning County human resources director, will retire Monday after nearly two years with the county.
Commissioner David Ditzler announced her retirement at this morning's commissioners' meeting.
Before coming to county in April 2011, Livengood worked for the Ohio Department of Transportation in 1998 as a labor-relations officer at the agency's Sidney office and moved in 2007 to its Columbus headquarters. Gov. John Kasich chose in January 2011 not to retain her.
In other business, the commissioners rejected bids they received Jan. 30 for a water-supply installation project along state Route 616 in Coitsville Township because the township was unable to obtain the necessary easements for the installation.
Commissioners said the project will be re-bid.
