Kid Rock is helping raise money for Shriners Hospitals for Children on each of the 31 dates of his current tour, including Monday’s concert at Covelli Centre in Youngstown.

Under Kid Rock’s plan, volunteers from Shrine groups in each city are being permitted to sell his new CD, “Rebel Soul,” for $10, with all of the money going to the Shriners Hospitals. Kid Rock is guaranteeing at least $1,000 each night toward the charity.

At Covelli Centre, about 20 volunteers affiliated with the local Shriners club will be walking around the arena selling the CD. The volunteers will be dressed in gold shirts that say Youngstown Shrine Club. Some also will be wearing fezzes, said Lou Garland of the local club.
