SALEM

Authorities arrested three Youngstown residents Tuesday after raiding an apartment for drugs.

According to a written statement from Columbiana County Drug Task force, Salem police, the county sheriff’s office, BCI and the Drug Enforcement Administration performed a search in the 400 block of Continental Drive.

Officers recovered crack cocaine, drug paraphernalia and more than $2,200 in cash, the release says. Police arrested Marvin L. Gidney II of Hillman Street and Charles Pete of Indianola Avenue. Gidney was wanted on a warrant from Youngstown for trafficking heroin and cocaine; Pete was wanted on a warrant in Columbiana County for failure to appear. A Youngstown juvenile also was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

The renter was present during the raid, but the statement does not state if she was arrested. The drug task force is still investigating and more charges are pending.
